XL Girls: So, Maria, how was it appearing in XL Girls for the first time?
Maria: It was really fun. Those were actually the first I’ve ever done. I had imagined what it would be like and it was even more fun than I had thought.
XL Girls: What do your friends say about you being in XL Girls?
Maria: They’re okay with it as long as I am, and I am. It’s my decision anyway. My real friends all respect my right to do as I please, as I also respect their rights.
